the heats are finally over. i'm very relieved...i didn't get last for my 100 and 200m breastroke!
hahahaha. instead, i did my personal best, of which i'm quite satisfied with myself. i'm certainly pleased with my 100m today. i improved 11 seconds relative to last year! anyway, i'm not comparing myself to those club swimmers who bag all the medals. its just for the experience, as my parents said. i need to challenge myself physically once in a while. haha. anyway, something shitty happened during my 100m today. when it was time for my heat, some guy claimed that he was assigned to my lane (lane 2) and stepped up onto the board. i complained to the officials around, but 'take your mark' was still said, and the familiar honk sound rang. so basically, i didn't swim in my heat. i had mixed emotions at that point of time. i felt relieved and happy, partly because i thought that i wouldn't have to swim anymore :p on the other hand, there was the nerves that worsened. well, in the end, i swam in heat 4 and that guy got disqualified (poor him, his timing was better than mine, but it was not even recorded in the results).
i'm looking forward to tomorrow! scuba diving! (darn! water again, in a pool somemore..) it'll be my first event of enrichment week. was supposed to go for bio conc camp but was too tired. oh yes, i thought i'd be finished swimming. but apparently due to some 'technical error', the medley relay is going to be reswum. grr....
